Wayne Craftsman
Inspired by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, this stone and shingle craftsman has a low pitched gable roof with shed dormers that form a bold roofline that spreads into broad eaves. The low hanging roof of the detached garage ensures that it bows in deferral to the home. Sturdy, tapered stone pillars project from the foundation supporting the decks dappled with sunlight filtering through the tree canopy above. Taking a page from Wright’s book, the home is draped in colors found in nature which perfectly alive with the wooded backdrop.
Like an autumn tree standing proudly in a field, crimson-clad windows provide a pop of contrast to the complementary green shingle. A stone fountain nestled into the wall babbles serenely next to the alcove guarding the handsome mahogany front door. From the hand-forged custom lantern brackets to the copper gutters and downspouts, the details really make this home shine.
